Retailed by W.W.Logan Paris A fine Drocourt repeater and alarm with ting tang

Pierre Drocourt (born 1889), and his son Alfred (born 1847), were one of the top makers of carriage clocks in the mid to late Victorian period. One of their factories was based in Saint-Nicolas-d’Ailermont, probably the most important town for carriage clock manufacturing at this time, they also had premises in Paris at Rue Debelleyne 28, previously called Rue de Limoges prior to 1866. They made superb carriage clocks which often were decorative and were awarded numerous medals in exhibitions, such as gold Paris 1889, silver Paris 1878 and bronze Paris 1867. Alfred succeeded his father around 1871.
